Dumebi Azubuike is a HSE Professional and Public Health Advocate. She is the Co-founder and Lead Coordinator at Safety Awareness and Well-being Foundation which is her brainchild.
Dumebi has worked in the aviation industry, and other industries such as food, healthcare, construction and manufacturing industries, over the past years where she has gained extensive experience.
Her major expertise is in occupational health & safety, hazard analysis, risk management & mitigation, emergency planning and procedures, development of HSE policies, safety management system design, waste management, behavior-based safety practices, and workers’ compensation management. She is passionate about improving an organization’s safety culture and promoting business efficiency.
Dumebi’s goal is to thoroughly execute compliance with HSE policies in accordance with international best practices and regulation. She is consistently involved in research, training & engagement of employees regarding Health and Safety matters within their work environment.
Dumebi has high business acumen and understands the positive impact of strong management HSE policies in sustaining a firm’s profitability, and is therefore committed in the overall implementation of HSE policies of a given organization.
Dumebi holds a B.Sc (Anatomy) from the University of Benin and M.Sc (Public Health) from the University of Lagos. In addition to her academic degrees, Dumebi has several local and international professional certifications to her credit, including National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) and Emergency, Crisis & Disaster Risk Management Institute (ECRMI) certifications.
